Surfface is a musical duo marked by the wavy electric sound of dark disco, melodic
techno, indie dance as well as deep and progressive house, with some influences of
World music.
Paul started his DJ carrier in Denmark and has been on DJ scene for over 20 years.
At the age of 15, he mastered DJ mixing technique with vinyl and gradually evolved
with progress and technology. He has been playing on raves and in clubs in
Denmark and Sweden, as well as on exclusive parties in Amsterdam. His sound can
be described as techno and deep with elements of progressive and tribal, what’s
today has became emblematic of Surfface.
DJ, music ambassador and conceptualist, Anton is also well known as a music
promoter. He started AIT Music Productions, a tour promoting company that stages
rock tours in Scandinavia with recognized bands from Europe and America, such as
Laibach, Front Line Assembly, Marnie of Ladytron, Okean Elzy to name a few. His
deep interest for music and profound knowledge of it enriches and refines the way
Surfface sounds.
In spite of completely different backgrounds, Anton and Paul have one thing in
common. Their creative and artistic attitude have always centered around music. It
should, therefore, come as no surprise that the two of them, having known each
other for years, decided to set up a DJ-duo (which is slowly but steadily becoming a
word of mouth sensation).
Anton and Paul’s ambition for Surfface to not only play but also produce music is
successfully coming true. Their strength lies in embracing the challenge of working
within the melting pot of different electronic music genres – a perfect ingredient for
building something unique. Surfface’s music is widely recognized in the industry and
is played by artists like Henry Saiz, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Damon Jee,
Dubfire, and many more DJs around the world.
